Meet The Individuals On Our Team
Jean Griswold, Team Leader
Jean retired from healthcare in 2005 to pursue a career in real estate. She affiliated with RE/MAX Leading Edge in 2007 and has achieved RE/MAX 100% Club status multiple years.
She earned the following designations, all of which enable her to work with unique and very specific client needs: EcoBroker® Certified; Transnational Referral Certified (TRC); Five Star Professional (FSP); Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE); Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource (SFR).
Jean's early professional career was in the healthcare industry – after years in x-ray equipment manufacturing, she founded what became a nationally recognized mobile mammography program that served women in four southern states. She is a graduate of Leadership Charlotte and a former Charlotte Chamber "Entrepreneur of the Year."
Jean was born in Key West, FL into a career Navy family (yes, a native Conch!). She has four children and five grandchildren – all of whom live in Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties. She and her husband live in a rural area near Mt Pleasant, NC; her 91-year-old mother – whose family history in North Carolina dates back to the 1740's – lives with them.

Helen Honeycutt
Helen Honeycutt was born in Stuttgart, Germany. An exchange program with the University of Michigan first brought her to the USA; her university studies were not only in chemistry and physics but also in linguistics – she is fluent in German and English and is competent in French, Russian, and Spanish.
Helen’s business experience is as diverse as her studies! She was the Director of Business Development for a division of Moody’s Investor Services (developing business relationships in Europe). Later, as an entrepreneur, she imported building materials (stone) to the USA in a joint venture with a German entity; this led to establishing her own granite firm in the Charlotte area.
Helen and her husband Jim met as a result of her granite sales; they formed a collaborative relationship that has resulted in the architectural design and building of fine homes based on European concepts of quality, durability, low maintenance, and traditional design elements.
Helen and Jim have a daughter Katherine who is the light of their lives! During her free time, Helen enjoys being a gourmet chef, reading, and music.
Helen is the Team’s Fine Homes Specialist, merging her experience as a custom builder of executive homes with her passion to provide quality service to that unique level of clientele; and she is EcoBroker® Certified.
Helen lives in the SouthPark area of Charlotte and provides buyer/seller services in Myers Park, Dilworth, SouthPark, and Ballantyne – with a primary focus on luxury homes.

John Lynn
John Lynn was born in LaPorte, Indiana into a career Army family; most of his early childhood through college years (University of Munich) were spent in Germany. He has three children and one grandchild – one daughter lives in Toronto (Canada); the rest of his family live in Mecklenburg County.
John is an electrical engineer and physicist with degrees from David Lipscomb University and the University of Tennessee. He holds patents and has owned his own company since 1984, specializing in providing robotics and factory automation services to clients around the world (for more information, visit www.specialmachines.com).
John's passions include his Cessna 172 (he’s a private pilot), SCUBA, and Biblical archeology (including expeditions to the Holy Land). He enjoys reading, photography, and is actively involved in conservative movements geared to protecting our Constitutional freedoms.
John began his dual career branching into real estate in 2007; and he is EcoBroker® Certified. John primarily provides buyer agency and is extremely effective with engineers and “techies” moving to this area.

Christy Lomax
Christy is a native of Cabarrus County; she currently lives near the new NC Research Campus in Kannapolis and is very knowledgeable about the area’s great attractions and available living.
Christy is the Team’s New Home Specialist; and she is EcoBroker® Certified.
Christy has a genuine ability of being able to connect with each and every client with whom she works – she has an uncanny knack of being able to turn a client’s “wish list” into reality and understands how to focus on what product will best suit a client’s personal living needs. Her client relation skills are unparalleled!

Halina Schork
Halina keeps us all in line – she is our Lead Administrative Assistant – she’s been with our group in various capacities since 1999!
Halina was born in Garfield Heights, Ohio – she and her husband Robert have been married for more than 32 years. They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren – all live locally.
Her business background includes an earlier stint as a real estate agent herself (in Ohio); a medical background with Carolinas Medical Center/Charlotte and with Mobile Health Outreach/Charlotte; and now with our Team.
Halina enjoys time with her family, a hobby making beautiful soy candles, hiking, and playing Rock Band!

Meredith Prophet
Meredith is the newest member of our group – she is one of our Administrative Assistants, working primarily with single family home sellers and with short sales.
Meredith is a native Charlottean; she was involved with Junior Olympics for many years and is a volleyball enthusiast. She and her daughter London now live in Kannapolis.
